ID 7237 · 1910 house on Helligvær with boathouse and 132,433 m²

About this house

This house from 1910 stands in an open coastal landscape on the island of Helligvær, off Bodø, looking out over the sea. With it comes 132,433 m² of land and a boathouse by the water. Inside there are 116 m² of internal floor space, 4 rooms including 3 bedrooms, a living room with pine floors and a small balcony off one of the upstairs bedrooms. The asking price is 1,280,000 NOK.

The house needs some work, so budget for maintenance, insulation and heating upgrades. Island life also means planning around ferry connections, deliveries and boat access, which matters both for a full relocation and for use as a second home. Check insurance terms for exposed coastal buildings and the boathouse.

Buying in Norway: on top of the asking price the buyer pays document duty and registration fees, which the broker lists in the sales prospectus, and the sale normally runs through a bidding round handled by the broker. Foreign buyers can purchase property in Norway. Norwegian banks can lend to non-residents but usually ask for a larger deposit, so it pays to arrange financing before bidding. Some rural properties carry concession or residence rules, so check the prospectus and ask the broker.
